Common problems when placing a Bet

Last Updated: Jul 23, 2014 04:08PM CEST
If customers try to place a bet for greater than the funds available in their account then a pop-up box will appear advising 'Unfortunately you do not have sufficient funds in your account to place this bet'. In this instance customers need to deposit more funds into their RaceBets account or wait until any unsettled bets are settled with their winnings if due.

When placing a bet at fixed odds some customers can be confused as to why they received a higher/lower payout than they expected because the fixed odds at the time of the race were x and they bet y. Fixed odds are paid out at the odds selected at the time of placing the bet and do not change regardless if the odds of the horse changes or not. The only exception to this is Rule 4 where reduction factors can be applied to horses due to declared non-runners before the race starts.
